Guns and Drugs Amnesty

Since last year, I kept wondering why this move had not been made. While there may be many amenable responses, it can be expected that many would “turn a deaf ear”. But it is better to try and fail than to fail to try. Quite recently, a police officer reported that the police would go all out to obtain these unlicensed guns. (What is all out?) When I heard the news that five people were killed in 24 hours and everyday there are murders, I can’t help but wonder if there is not something in the “mortar besides the pestle”. Permit me to suggest that after the deadline for giving up unlicensed guns and drugs has passed that various unannounced lockdowns be carried out throughout the islands and anyone found in possession of these two evils ie unlicensed fire arms and drugs for trafficking purposes or those identified on cameras be jailed for twenty years. Whilst incarcerated, rehabilitation and spiritual education should take place.
