GATE and contractual arrangement

Over the past few weeks it would seem that the entire country had their point of view heard in some way. At least the Government is aware of how people are thinking yet, at the end of it all, the final decision is in the hands of the Government. Something that thousands are daily missing is the translation of GATE that key word “assistant” anything done is assisting you. Now that this is out of the way let us continue.

This has to do with the contract which everyone must sign before starting any programme. The Director of Funding and Grants Admin Division Teresa Davidson gave notice to all that repaying will have to be made if you did not complete your programme. With emphasis on those trying to enter another course of studies, I do hope that everyone did take note. A pole was done on CNC3 Wednesday, do you know that 40 percent were saying that they should not repay the money under the above conditions.

I had to laugh after signing a contract to that effect.

The same zeal and enthusiasm many had to voice their disapproval when the present Government decided to adjust the GATE Programme due to financial constraint let us show it also and fulfil our contractual arrangements. While this will not apply to everyone to those who may have forgotten that it is tax payer’s money please be honest. So to the relevant authorities do what have to do.
