TT ousted in ITF Junior Singles

Having battled through the qualification rounds earlier on, both Anya King and Emma-Rose Trestrail were ousted in the second round of the Girls Singles. King fell 6-2, 6-2 victim at the hands of seventh seeded Guatemalan Pamela Richter while Trestrail bowed out to eighth ranked Vincentian Khyanna Singh 6-1, 6-3.

In the Boys equivalent, Nabeel Mohammed let slip an early 6-2 opening set win, losing out 6-3, 6-0 courtesy third seed Jacob Bicknell (Jamaica) in the following two sets. Scott Hackshaw also fared a similar fate as he was also prevented from securing a place in the quarter-final going down 6-3, 6-1 to sixth ranked American Eduardo Roldan.

Meanwhile, results from yesterday’s quarter-final Girls Doubles action featuring TT representative Emma Davis and Hungarian partner Csilla Fodor were still unavailable up to press time.
