Baby drowns in Tobago
Reports are that at about 4.30 pm the child’s mother, who is a cleaner at the resort, left Lou-Ann Daniel sleeping in a bed with a five-year-old while she carried out her duties.
She made a check at about 5 pm and discovered Lou-Ann missing. The frantic mother searched several places and eventually ended up at the pool where she saw her baby floating.
The woman alerted security officers who contacted management and officers of the Old Grange Police Station were called in. Officers led by Cpl Miller went to the scene along with a District Medical Officer and the child’s body was taken out of the water.
Her mother told police that she did not have anyone to babysit her daughter and opted to take her daughter with her so that she could complete her chores while at the same time keep an eye on her
