Ince back in the pool today

Ince, competing out of lane eight in Heat Two, will be vying for a spot in the final against the discipline’s highest ranked world athletes. This will be her second chance at a spot in the final having missed out in the Women’s 400m event on Friday. The fourtime Youth Parapan gold medallist (2013) however, has a lengthy competitive campaign this time around, and will be in action in the pool for the 50m freestyle tomorrow before she completes her schedule while contending in the 100m butterfly on Thursday.

TT ’s lone track athlete Nyosha Cain begins her medal chase on Wednesday in the Women’s 200m T44 and 100m T44 on Saturday.

Additionally, all eyes will be on freshly crowned and world record- breaking Paralympic Men’s javelin F43 champion, Akeem Stewart, as he again hits the field in the Men’s discus on Friday.

Ironically, Stewart also holds world F43 record in the discus (63.03m) and is the favourite to retain the title considering his impeccable form.

Last Friday, the talented Tobagonian won his first ever gold on debut at the Paralympic level with a record smashing throw of 57.32m on his final attempt. The 24-year old shattered his previous record of (54.77m) with his first throw of 57.23m but again rewrote the scripts with his final attempt.
