Car ploughs into Rio Claro mother

According to reports, at about 7.30 p.m. Sharlene Boodram, 43, of Ayoub Trace, Tabaquite Road, and her brother, Reynold Hercules, were walking along San Pedro Road, Poole, in single file when a Nissan B12 car crashed into a Nissan B15 car which was parked on the roadside.

The Nissan B12 slammed into Boodram.

Hercules, 48, who was walking some five feet ahead of his sister escaped unharmed.

Police said that the driver was seen fleeing the scene holding a black plastic bag.

Interviewed on Monday, Boodram’s youngest daughter, Krystal, described her mother as a “wellloved person” who did her best for her family and would ensure they were well taken care of.

“Anything I asked for she would do her best to get it and she was willing to help anybody,” she said.

Boodram was employed as an estate constable with a San Fernando-based security firm.

She was also a grandmother of two.
