Customs and Excise Guards Foundation donates to JBF
The Customs and Excise Guards Foundation has been in existence for about 25 years.
It was formed primarily with the aim of assisting the Customs Guards in hosting their Christmas Dinner and presenting retirees with tokens of appreciation. Each member made a small contribution of $20 monthly.
The majority of the members have since retired. A number of retired members, including Mervyn Lampkin, Rudolph Warren, Stanley Drakes and Christopher Garcia, together with the three active members – Cyril Robain, St Clair Patrick and George Osborne – took a decision to make the contribution to JBF, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families, in the hopes of making a positive contribution in the lives of children with cancer.
