Man drowns on way to fish

According to a friends Wahgom Wong, who was at the Forensic Science Centre yesterday, Sanderson along with Brandon Ali were on their way to go fishing when Sanderson slipped and fell off a cliff at Macqueripe Beach.

“We looked for him for four days and it was only on Monday at 2 pm that we rented a boat from Island Home and found his body at 7 pm.

“Seven of us went out in search of him. I could not sleep or eat for four days and was very uneasy knowing we had not yet found his body. I have lost a really good friend, we used to go fishing on the same rocks, sometimes fours days of the week...he will surely be missed,” Wong said.

Meanwhile, the victim’s wife Donamie Joyette said her husband died doing what he loved best.

“He loved fishing and as soon as he reach home from work he always used to call his friends to go fishing.

“The Lord gave me him and I could not of asked for a better person as a soul mate. He was really a good person.”
