St Anthony’s, Naps, Shiva battle for SSFL top spot
All three teams have a tally of 16 points each, with St Anthony’s leading by virtue of a superior goal difference of +11, compared to 2014 and 2015 champions Naparima (+8) and Shiva Boys (+7).
St Anthony’s will be hosting mid-table outfit Signal Hill at Westmoorings while Naparima will have a tough task on their hands when they meet Shiva Boys at Lewis Street, San Fernando.
Another Southbased team, Presentation San Fernando, with 15 points, are also within touching distance of the top three.
They will be visiting the struggling St Augustine and will be keen to notch their sixth win of the season.
Fifth-placed San Juan North will host Fatima at Bourg Mulatresse, sixth-placed St Mary’s will make the short trip to the Fatima Ground to face East Mucurapo and seventh- placed Fyzabad will entertain Trinity Moka.
Today’s other game will feature the winless QRC against Pleasantville at the QRC Ground, St Clair.
tThe cellar spot will remain untroubled with St Benedict’s on a bye.
All games today will kick off at 3.40 pm.
