CDA appoints temporary GM

CDA acting chairman Gupte Lutchmedial told Newsday yesterday that Dilraj-Batoosingh, who is currently the authority’s manager for legal and compliance audit services, will continue in the position until a permanent replacement is hired — hopefully in about five weeks.

Recruitment firm Gloria Eastman & Associates Ltd is charged with finding a new candidate and has been given a time frame of one month, Lutchmedial said.

The CDA’s previous general manager, Michael Anatol, tendered his resignation on Friday last, three months into his six-month probationary period.

Lutchmedial said he could not reveal the reason behind Anatol’s abrupt departure because of a non-disclosure agreement between Anatol and the CDA, but thanked him for his service.
