Parasram Singh back as umpires’ president

Singh, of the North East Zone of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board, defeated Nero 31-5 at the annual general meeting of the TTUSC which was held on Sunday at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva.

Shaheed Allaham, principal of the San Fernando TML Primary School, was returned unopposed as vice-president of the national organisation, while Ann Marie Charles was also voted in without a challenge for the position of secretary.

John Lewis was handed the important portfolio of TTUSC treasurer, also unopposed, while Kashif Sandy and Lyndon Rajkumar are the two assistant secretaries.

Also elected by an over-whelming majority of the TTUSC members were experienced administrator Lalman Kowlessar, and David Hunte, who both gained 31 votes as executive members.

Lorna Kirby-Alleyne of Tobago also emerged victorious on the winning slate as an executive member with 19 votes.
