BATT: Don’t put PIN backwards

BATT said that if a system like using your pin backwards were to be implemented there would be several challenges, including police response time, false alarms and the cost of implementation and maintenance.BATT reminded the public that customers can protect themselves at ATMs by being mindful of their surroundings and observant of suspicious individuals. Customers were also advised to use ATMs in high-traffic locations such as supermarkets, gas stations and banks, preferably during daylight hours. It was also advised that if there is a need to use ATMs at night, persons should ensure that the surrounding area is well-lit.

BATT reminded the public that they should always shield their PIN when conducting ATM transactions.
