Female cop arrested for fraud

Newsday understands that Fraud Squad officers under Senior Superintendent Totaram Dookhie were yesterday awaiting certain documents before approaching the DPP for their final instructions with respect to the arrest of the officers.

It is alleged that while the Acting Superintendent and the SRP were at the RRU the acting superintendent allegedly fraudulently signed duty slips which allowed the SRP to collect her monthly salary.

It was also alleged that the SRP never turned up for work during a certain period and yet was being paid because of the fraudulent duty slip allegedly signed by the acting superintendent.
