North East Stars U-17s stun Jabloteh

In their Round One Match Day Eight encounter at the San Juan North Secondary School Ground, North East Stars registered a come-from-behind 2-1 win over the division leaders.

Jabloteh, who entered the game with six wins and a draw from seven matches, opened the scoring in the 41st minute through Jodel Brown but Devon Charles equalised for North East in the 54th minute. And on the hour-mark, Keon Boney notched the winner for the visitors, who stayed in third place on the standings.

Jabloteh remained atop the points table, followed by W Connection, who spanked Defence Force 4-0 at the Union Recreation Ground in Claxton Bay.

Caleb Gasper (ninth) and Symron Wiseman (18th) struck in the first half for Connection, while Mark Ramdeen (58th and 60th) put the game beyond the reach of Defence Force.

St Ann’s Rangers and Point Fortin both earned 3-1 victories, over Morvant Caledonia United and Police respectively.

At the Maracas Recreation Ground in St Joseph, Rangers got a pair of goals from Naphtali Carrington (fifth and 72nd) and the other from Quinn Frederick (87th), while Ethan Bonaparte (52nd) netted for Morvant Caledonia United.

Nkosi Charles (eighth), Gyasi Jeffrey (62nd) and Jameel Pierre (84th) found the back of the net for Point Fortin Civic, with Emmanuel Elie (78th) responding for Police.

Also in the Under-17 Division, Club Sando registered a 3-0 win, by default, over the struggling Central FC.
