PM leaves for New York

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said Rowley wentd on vacation from yesterday and will attend Sonel’s graduation from Fordham University in New York on Saturday .

Sonel Rowley will be graduating with a PhD in child pyschology .

She is a national scholarship winner from Bishop Anstey High School and also graduated with firstclass honours from the University of the West Indies’ Cave Hill Campus in Barbados .

The Prime Minister is expected to return on May 23 .

Finance Minister Colm Imbert will act as prime minister while Rowley is overseas .

After his return, the Prime Minister is scheduled to make a state visit to Chile towards the end of this month
