Daniel powers Canaan/BonAccord to four-wicket win
Sent in to bat first, Killdeer amassed 138 runs for seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs while the home team triumphed with 141/6 in 19.2 overs.
Daniel, who usually captain the Tobago XI, treated his hometown supporters to spectacular hitting, and got solid support from Ashaughn Pierre who finished the tension-filled match in style with his third six for unbeaten 22.
Kerry Cordner contributed 26 that included three fours.
Medium pacers Oaklee Marcano (2/16), Roshan Lobin (2/19) and Christian Eccles (2/21) shared the wickets.
Earlier, Roshan Lobin 45 (three fours and a six) and Lalchan Ramlal 28 (three fours and a six) featured in a 71-run second wicket partnership that provided hope that Killdeer will post a much bigger total. But only Rich Lobin, who got 22, was able to dominate the Tobago bowlers. Off-spinner Antonio Providence claimed two wickets for 39 runs.
Canaan/Bon Accord advanced to the quarter-finals of the annual tournament that carries a jackpot worth $25,000.
