Arima All Stars host Sparta Rotterdam

Glasgow was speaking at a reception held at One Woodbrook Place on Thursday night, hosted by the Ambassador of The Kingdom of the Netherlands Jules Biji .

Football club Sparta Rotterdam from the Netherlands is currently in Trinidad and Tobago for a two-week visit, where they will participate in a clinic alongside the Arima All Stars Youth Football Club. Last year, Arima All Stars travelled to Netherlands to compete in the 2016 Annual Youth Football tournament .

The club made an impression and encouraged a return visit from Sparta Rotterdam .

Glasgow said the goal of the club goes beyond the football field. “We decided that we did not just want it to be a football club, we wanted to cater for the all-round development. We started with young men, however, we have already started having young girls coming to the club. We know that the club is going to make some really quick turns and we are going to be making some leaps.” The Arima club was founded three years ago by Brother Navis .

Former national player Marlon Guerra and FIFA-accredited referee and trainer Merere Gonzales are also involved with the club .
