Int’l military exercise heads to Chaguaramas

This was revealed in a Ministry of National Security statement yesterday.

The Chaguaramas activity is the second part of the exercise after the first part was held in Barbados from June 6 to 12.

“Tradewinds is a multi-national maritime security and disaster response exercise in the Caribbean.

“Participants from 20 partner nations will join in the exercise, including Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago as well as military personnel from the United States of America, Canada, France, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.” The statement said the exercise will be restricted to the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force bases and camps in the Chaguaramas Peninsula.
