New-look Super League kicks off
In all, 12 teams will be involved in the League, which will run until November 22.
The competing teams are Bethel FC, Club Sando Moruga, Cunupia FC, Defence Force, FC Santa Rosa, Guaya United, 1976 Phoenix, Police, Queen’s Park, Siparia Spurs, UTT and WASA FC.
Last season, when the League was staged in two divisions, FC Santa Rosa copped the Premiership prize while Cunupia were victorious in the Championship section.
Cunupia will get things started when they square off against FC Santa Rosa at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima from 3.30 pm, while Guaya United will host fellow southerners Club Sando Moruga at the Guayaguayare Recreation Ground at 4.30 pm.
1976 FC Phoenix will entertain Police at Canaan/ Bon Accord Recreation Ground from 5 pm; an hour later, Bethel will oppose Queen’s Park at Mt Gomery Recreation Ground; Defence Force will tackle Siparia at the Hasely Crawford Stadium Training Field in Mucurapo, and UTT will entertain WASA FC at the O’Meara Campus Ground in Arima.
