RBC Pointe-a-Pierre moves to Marabella

The branch will end its full-service operations at 5 pm on June 16, but the two cash-dispensing ATMs will remain at the Pointe-a-Pierre mall “for the convenience of our personal and business clients,” RBC said on Tuesday.

Some services, such as night deposit, will have interim arrangements during the relocation period.

The move will take place in two phases, with an expected completion date of next January, because business and personal banking services will be transferred to other locations.

Phase one will involve moving the business banking team to its permanent location at the bank’s High Street, San Fernando branch.

“We will also temporarily relocate our personal banking teams to other branches, including High Street, Chaguanas, Couva, Gulf City, Princes Town and Siparia branches. In phase two, the personal banking team will relocate to the new branch in Marabella.

The date of this transfer is not yet final, but RBC expects this will take place in January 2018.” RBC also said the decision to move was taken after a detailed assessment designed to ensure it continues to offer “a strong banking experience to our clients with minimal service disruptions.” The bank said its branch network remains “an important part of an integrated advice and service model and a critical component of its clients’ banking experience.” Commenting on the news, RBC managing director Darryl White, said, “We remain committed to transforming both our physical and digital channels and minimising disruptions in order to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. We are expanding the ways that clients can interact with RBC across the Caribbean and around the world.” Information about specific services and how clients can continue to access them is available at the Pointea- Pierre branch up to June 16, via the RBC Contact Centre (800- 1RBC) and on the RBC website.
