Bank (RBC) said this. “youth empowerment. event, made possible by. the bank, will celebrate. the positive impact. that young people have. made in their community.”. “Close to 1,200 students. and educators. will attend this inspiring. event which seeks. to shine a light on the. students’ work in their. schools and their communities,. while drawing. on the life experiences. and achievements of. youth across the globe.”. WE Day Community. is an extension of WE. Day, an international. series of stadium-sized. events that celebrates. the actions young people. are taking on local. and global issues. WE. Day Community events. are locally-led celebrations. to recognise and. support communities. around the world eager. to host their own local. WE Day.

Students can’t buy a. ticket to the event. They. earn their way by taking. action on issues they. care about through the. year-long educational. programme, RBC. Young Leaders, in partnership. with WE Charity’s. WE Schools programme.

Announced earlier. this year, RBC and WE. partnered to launch. WE Schools, a free. programme available. to all schools here and. in the Caribbean. The. programme encourages. students to further. their curricular learning,. develop life skills. for success beyond the. classroom and become. change-makers. The. partnership between. RBC Young Leaders and. WE is expected broaden. the reach and scope of. the Young Leaders programme. and help forge. stronger ties between. students and their communities.
