Port of Spain Corporation football on July 3

Eight teams will play in the league and knockout competitions for a chance to win prize money, trophies and medals. City Hall, Central Market, Central/ Eastern, Transport and Cleansing, Public Health, St James Medical, St James Division and Western Division will compete.

In the league competition, the winner will get $3,000, a trophy and medals. Second place will receive $2,000 and a trophy, while third place will get $1,000 and medals.

In the knockout competition, the winner will walk away with $1,000 and a trophy, and the losing finalist will get $500. The matches will be 30 minutes a half with each team fielding a team of nine players. The league competition runs from July 3 to August 17, followed by the knockout tournament.

Numerous individual awards will be up for grabs including best goal, most goals, best goalkeeper, most valuable player (MVP), most disciplined team and the best uniformed team.
