Caesar named USL Player of the Week
The 28 year old Caesar, who is in his debut season at Sacramento Republic FC, recorded four goals in a pair of Republic FC victories over the past week, including a hat-trick and an assist against Rio Grande Valley FC in a 6-2 win in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3 at Papa Murphy’s Park.
The TT international received 71 percent of the poll conducted by a national panel of independent media representing every USL market. Charleston Battery forward Romario Williams finished second with 17 percent of the vote.
Other players in the Team of the Week, for Week 14, include goalkeeper Keasel Broome (Pittsburgh Riverhounds); defenders Liam Doyle (Swope Park Rangers), Sean McFarlane (Colorado Springs Switchbacks) and Brent Richards (Reno 1868 FC); midfielders Enzo Martinez (Charlotte Independence), Sebastian Velasquez (Real Monarchs SLC), Kenney Walker (FC Cincinnati) and Zach Mathers (Seattle Sounders FC); and striker Wilson Kneeshaw (Sacramento Republic FC).
