Girl, 14, sexually abused

According to reports, the Form 2 student confided to her mother on Tuesday that on several occasions she accompanied the 21-year-old man to Macqueripe beach where they had sexual intercourse.

The girl’s mother took her to the Four Roads station where a report was made and officers of the Child Protection Unit were Called in.

The student was medically examined by a District Medical Officer who confirmed that she is sexually active. Officers of the Child Protection Unit yesterday carried out a search for the suspect who is reported to have gone into hiding.

Investigations are ongoing.
