‘Granny Lucess’ race on Saturday

The 5K will start at the St Mary’s Children Home, Tacarigua while the 15K begins at the Arima Velodrome. Both races start at 6 am and end at the La Joya Complex, Eastern Main Road, St Joseph.

Defending champion Richard Jones is expected to compete seeking a fourth consecutive win. Approximately 300 persons have registered to participate with prize money and trophies on offer.

The race is in honour of local sporting icon Lynette “Granny” Lucess who is a long standing member of the Eastern Credit Union.
