Team Anthrax begin title defence with win

A splendid allround performance by Jason Jairam ensured Team Anthrax defeated Ihsan Bustin Loose by five wickets in their opening match. Jairam took four for nine as BSCC were dismissed for 65 runs.

He then spearheaded the Team Anthrax run chase scoring 39 runs as they closed on 68 for five to clinch victory. In the second match BSCC were dismissed for 69 runs with Damian Peters the pick of the bowlers taking four for 11. There was strong support from Daniel Balrakan (2/5) and Jason Lewis (2/12) with no BSCC batsman able to post a significant score.

Balkaran then returned with the bat scoring 17 runs along with Kemal Mohammed (18) to give Team Anthrax their second victory. Team Anthrax finished on 74 for six.
