Temporary senator appointed

JOAN HACKSHAW-MARSLIN has been appointed a temporary member of the Senate in the absence of Senate President, Dr Linda Baboolal, who is now acting as President of Trinidad and Tobago. Acting President Dr Baboolal, on the advice of the Prime Minister, made the appointment in accordance with Sections 40 and 44 of the Constitution. President George Maxwell Richards is out of the country, and is expected to return on Sunday.
