BMW stolen at Palmiste

FOR A short while on Saturday night, two bandits sped around San Fernando sporting a red BMW 500 S-Class which they had stolen from a woman at Palmiste. But in the end the robbers decided to ditch the luxury car and escape with the loot inside the vehicle including $10,000 TT, $600 US, and almost $4,000 in jewellry and items.

The owner of the car, Valerie Ramnarine, reported to police that around 9.25 pm she was opening the gate to her house at Palmiste when she was accosted by two men, one of whom pointed a gun at her. The men stole her $1,200 gold chain and pendant, her $2,000 cell phone, as well as her VISA Gold  card and driver’s permit, $220, before jumping into her BMW and speeding off. Officers from San Fernando CID began investigations, and later found the car abandoned at Papourie Road, Duncan Village. The car was towed back to the San Fernando Police station and check for fingerprints. PC Harrysingh is continuing investigations.
