Ramsaran wants equity in 2004

CHAGUANAS MP Manohar Ram-saran wished for greater equity in the society in 2004. In his New Year’s message, Ramsaran said in 2004 he would like a “fair share of employment be given  in the CEPEP and URP and other employment programmes.” He expressed concern about the levels of crime in Trinidad and To-bago and expressed the hope that 2004 would “bring a positive outlook and a better scheme to fight crime and kidnappings.” The Chaguanas MP thanked all persons who supported him throughout the year, especially when he was arrested on October 6 for participating in an anti-crime protest in his constituency. Caroni Central MP Dr Hamza Rafeeq was also arrested in that incident and the matter is still before the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court.
