Registration for computer literacy in Laventille

Registration for the Computer Literacy and Employment Listing Programmes of the Council of Elders of Laventille will continue today, through the rest of January to February, between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm (Monday to Saturday), at the Council’s George Street Office. The Computer Literacy Course is part of the Council’s initiative to “maintain the peace” in the area. The cost of the project is an estimated $95,000 and will be met by contributions from the general membership of the council, as well as community organisations operating in the Laventille area and environs. The official launch of the programme is scheduled for Wednesday, with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation among the contributing institutions, at the Council’s Office on George Street, Port-of-Spain.
