FCB sponsors charity Golf Classic

First Citizens Bank has agreed to sponsor TT $90,000 for the Carnival Charity Golf Classic scheduled for February 26-28, at the Tobago Plantations Beach and Golf Resort. Confirming the bank as the sponsor, the cheque was presented to Douglas Gordon, director of IslandEvents.Com.

The proceeds of this event, which is expected to attract over 120 golf enthusiasts, celebrities and world-renowned atheletes, will go towards the Cotton Tree Foundation which seeks to improve the lives of poor and disenfranchised people of St Ann’s. The three-day tournament is strategically scheduled for after Carnival, and promises to be a weekend consisting of golf clinics, competitions on the range, practice greens, a barbecue cook-out, live nightly entertainment by Machel Montano and Destra Garcia, ending with a spectacular awards dinner.
