Paparazzi New Carnival band for 2013

Three of the 12 sections were revealed on the night – “Red Carpet Ready,” designed by Leasel Rovedas and “French Connection” and “Opulence,” both designed by Karlene Ballah.

Organisers, all of whom are experienced in the mas business, promise that when the “red carpet meets the road” next year, there will be top local and foreign based DJs, designer costumes, top quality food, premium drinks and of course even more fun.

The band was conceived from the band Pulse8 Carnival led by Meg Cheekes; but 2012 was the last of Cheekes’ presentations.

Tracey Andre has now taken over the mantle and will have with her a number of the Pulse 8 committee members who she said will bring all of the warmth, vitality and quality service that Pulse8 was known for.

The all-inclusive band is expected to hit the road next year with some 2,000 masqueraders, and the public will get its turn to see all 12 sections at the Paparazzi Carnival Launch Party that takes place on Sunday July 8, at the Queen’s Park Oval, from 6 pm. It will be a drinks inclusive affair.
