No leads in attack on Sister Pam

TOBAGO police seemed to have been stumped in their investigations surrounding the stabbing of well-known former Tobago politician Pamela Nicholson and her sister. Police sources told Newsday they were still seeking leads in their investigations into the stabbing of the former Tobago West MP and NAR Government Minister. Nicholson and her sister Pat, a former secondary school teacher, were attacked at their home last Tuesday. Several persons have been interviewed by investigators but no clear lead has so far been established.

Meantime both victims, who underwent emergency surgery, were yesterday reported to be resting comfortably with doctors saying their condition had “improved significantly.” The sisters were stabbed repeatedly by an intruder at their Mt Pleasant home around 8.15 pm last Tuesday in an apparent robbery attempt. Pamela was attacked and stabbed when she intervened to rescue Pat who was being stabbed by the intruder who had crept up on her (Pat) from behind. The intruder escaped in a waiting car. Sgt Edwards is continuing investigations. The sisters who remain warded at Scarborough General Hospital, are expected to be discharged sometime this week.
