Teen shot in St Barb’s

A 15-year-old Petit Valley boy is currently warded at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital after being shot in the neck. According to reports, Richard Theodore was visiting some friends in a house at St Barb’s at around 4.15 pm on Sunday, when a man walked up to the teen and shot him. The wounded Theodore was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, where he remains warded.


Residents of the area refused to speak with Newsday, but police sources said their investigations revealed that some boys were playing with a gun which accidentally went off. In an unrelated incident, Nicolas Aston was shot in his legs at Wharf Trace, Maracas/St Joseph under similar circumstances on Saturday night. Cpl Rowley is investigating the shooting of Theodore, while Cpl Douglas is investigating the shooting of Aston.
