Club owner shoots Penal man

Marabella police are continuing investigations into the alleged shooting of a 32-year-old Penal man by a prominent South club owner. It was reported that around 6.30 pm on Tuesday, Allan Campbell, proprietor of Shashell’s Pub, Marabella and Carat Shed, Vistabella, was on Shashell’s compound when he noticed an unidentified man approaching him with his hands in his pockets.

On reflex action, Campbell allegedly pulled out his licensed revolver, shooting the man in his right thigh. When police officers visited the scene, Campbell reportedly told them that the man was making advances towards him and to protect himself from being attacked, whipped out his gun and shot him. However, on searching the victim, the officers found no form of weapon lodged in the man’s pockets.
