What Minister Montano really said

LEGAL AFFAIRS Minister Danny Montano did not call on corporations to draft professional rules of conduct on matters of corporate governance, as was reported recently. What the Minister did in fact suggest when he addressed a Caribbean Institute of Directors’ Corporate Secretary Seminar, was that it might be time for the association “to make your own professional rules of conduct for your members on matters of corporate governance and to advise Government on legislative steps that you consider appropriate.”
