Emancipation parade in Princes Town

THE Princes Town Regional Corporation (PTRC), in collaboration with the Orisha Elders of Trinidad and Tobago, Ujaama Ambatama Performing Company and Merekin Heritage Incorporated, will host a grand Emancipation street parade today. Celebrations are expected to begin at the Craignish Village Shiv Mandir and conclude at Princes Town’s Nipdec carpark. The street parade starts at 10 am. A cultural show is also scheduled to take place at Nipdec carpark and include addresses by Nigerian High Commissioner Edward Arthur Agabe, the Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary and Princes Town MP Subhas Panday.
