Sixteen homeless after Morvant blaze

Sixteen Morvant residents have been left homeless following a fire which razed two buildings just after lunch yesterday afternoon. At approximately 1.35 pm fire officers attached to the Morvant Fire Station received a report of a fire at Pelican Extension. The officers responded to find two buildings at Light Pole 64 well ablaze. Vehicles from the San Juan Fire Station were also called in to extinguish the fire which threatened other nearby buildings.
