Free concert for ‘Summerfest’ fans

PATRONS disappointed at the outcome of last Saturday’s “Summerfest” concert will be appeased with a free concert to be staged later this year said Roy Maraj, chief executive officer Tri-Star Promotions. According to the company, official plans are in train to host the concert  to be known as “Summerfest 2,” and is expected to feature controversial dance-hall entertainers Bounty Killer and Elephant Man. Bounty Killer was arrested and charged last Saturday for his use of obscene language at the ‘Summerfest” concert.

As a result, Elephant Man, who was also billed to perform, refused to take the stage. Both entertainers have indicated their willingness to perform at “Summerfest 2,” tentatively scheduled to be held later this year, either in September or October. Bounty Killer and Elephant Man said Maraj would have to work with their managers to secure an appropriate date. Maraj said the venue being considered for “Summerfest 2” is Pier 2 Chaguaramas. The concert, he said, will be a gift to deprived fans.
