‘Magical KAR’ is on at Queen’s Hall
This children’s theatrical production will host daily school shows at 9.30 am and 1.30 pm, with an evening matinee show tomorrow at 7.30 pm.
An unforgettable story, beloved characters, meaningful acting, magical music and riveting dancing, sets the stage for The Magical Island of KAR, said a media release from the organisers.
This production takes the normal story of Peter Pan and infuses it with our local culture and talent and brings local characters to the well-loved story the way Carvalho Production knows, the release said. The family-oriented theatrical production is directed and written by multiple Cacique Award winner Penelope Spencer, with costume design by Sean Edwards and make-up by Gezille Morle and Lucia Eligon.
Managing director of Carvalho Productions Fareid Carvalho, is featured as the “Captain Mook” and “Mr Babagush” is no stranger to the stage. Some of his past productions included Circus Circus, The Wizard of OZ, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King.
Also featured are Hans des Vignes as Satchmo, Jeannine Clarke as Sister Peas, Aaliyah Guilding as Madame Peacock, and introducing Ashley Aming and a full cast of talented actors and dancers. The production was assisted by sponsorship from First Citizens, Massy Stores, Coffee Beanery and MovieTowne.
