Party-goers robbed at back in time fete

SEVERAL party-goers attending the Rennie Bishop Back In Times held on Saturday night at Ambassador Hotel poolside where they were promised a safe environment were robbed while they partied. The victims included Tacarigua resident Frank Hostien, who was robbed of his gun kit with his gun and ammunition which was hidden in his car. According to information, several of the party-goers were robbed of their jewelry and money by a group of men, some who yanked the items from around their necks, some picking their pockets and some threatening them with knives.


The bandits then ran off quickly merging with the crowds. Because of the mass of people police had a difficult time in apprehending anyone. Following the fete, Tacarigua businessman Hostien, reported that when he returned to his car parked on Long Circular Road, St James he found his windshield smashed and his Sig sauer gun with two live rounds in a kit that was hidden under the driver’s seat missing. Police confirmed there are gangs of men who make their living by entering parties and robbing the party goers. St Clair police are investigating.
