Corn mask for dry skin

A fresh corn mask offers a feast to the star-ved complexion. This one works best if you are fortunate enough to be able to pick a tender young ear of corn fresh from its stalk. Without wasting any time, husk the young ear and remove the silk. Run the sides of the corn down a grater. This cuts into the kernels and exposes their rich, milky fluid. Catch the grated kernels in a small bowl.

Next, gather the handful of kernels and strain them through a loose cheesecloth bag. Open the cheesecloth if necessary to allow all the pulp to get through. It is only the hulls we are trying to discard. Now, pat this milky mask onto your face and neck. Allow it to remain until it dries, or for 15 to 20 minutes. The high protein and fat content of the corn soothes dry skin while at the same time offering the building material needed for a healthy skin. For those of you with dry skin all manner of self-helps are available, and if you pay a little extra attention to your needs, you might overcome your problem.

For the days your skin is especially dry, cleanse your face with a slit grape. Not only is this lubricating to the skin, but it is nourishing, and wonderfully refreshing. The juice of wild grapes offers a wealth of valuable minerals of the skin. Complexions that are blot-chy, oily or dry, can get ease from this very natural, very rich, distilled beauty potion. Grandmother’s beauty advice said emerald green grapes were for dry skin and the darker varieties for oily skin.
