Fired SWRHA CEO gets job in BVI

Chester-Cumberbatch’s appointment was announced at a press briefing in the BVI, on Monday.

According to the BVINews Online edition, Chester-Cumberbatch beat two BVI locals to the position.

Chester-Cumberbatch was sent packing on March 16, 2010, days after then Minister of Health Therese Baptiste-Cornelis announced at a news conference the suspension of ten doctors and nurses in the death of Chrystal Boodoo-Ramsumair, only to find out that the official letters were not conveyed to them prior to her announcement.

A year later, Chester- Cumberbatch was again appointed to another CEO position at the Tobago Regional Health Authority.

Chester-Cumberbatch is replacing outgoing CEO Darlene Carty-Baptiste in the British Virgin Islands.

Chester-Cumberbatch was trained at John Hopkins University in public health management
