Man shot in Laventille

The victim has been identified as Qwamie Ford, of Block 22.

According to reports, at about 9pm on Saturday night Ford was walking along Pashley Street, when he heard several loud explosions.

He then felt a burning sensation to his torso.

The police and emergency health services were notified and the wounded man was rushed to the hospital where he was treated.
