Team GNC victorious in Cycle for Charity

The speed-filled quartet of Akil Campbell, Tyler Cole (road cyclists), Peter Sellier and Jason Costelloe (mountain bikers) completed the challenging 13-mile road/4.2-mile mountain bike course in two hours 12 minute and 18 seconds to grab top honours in the Overall category.

Finishing just over one minute behind were runners-up Heatwave ‘A’ (Guy Costa, Jamol Eastmond, E De Commaamon, James Hadeed), who crossed the finish line in 2:13.21.

Rounding off the top five on the day were Breakaway I (2:21.46); Slipstream Slipees (2:28.27) and Contractors (2:28.35) respectively.

In the Mixed category, Contractors emerged victors while Heatwave ‘B’ finished as runners-up and Central Spokes/Hydration placed third. Silent Rides, the only Junior team, were sixth overall in 2:37.31. And in the All Female division, team That Is Woman pedalled to gold in 3:12.53 and placed 17th overall.

Grabbing second position were Naughty Grapes (4:00.27), who also placed 27th overall.
