Speaker must stop House disrespect
They must set a better example.
It cannot be the same old, same old this time around.
For far too long there have been disrespect, bickering, spite, and shameless crosstalk by members on both sides, disrespecting the voters who “take” sun and rain to put them in those positions.
These so-called exemplars have lowered the dignity of the Parliament, reducing it to a rum shop.
Voters must stop taking this crap and speak out.
The must tell MPs to get on with the job.
It is high time we call a halt to this nonsense, which political leaders often encourage by not speaking to their charges.
Could it be they are not in charge? I have seen political leaders and recycled politicians on the Parliament channel enjoying this gobar, snickering or laughing their heads off.
Political leaders beg on national television to lead the country, and that’s the example they are setting.
I hope they know the youths are watching.
Presently, political newbies on both benches are getting in on the act, leaving me to wonder if these educated people are really educated.
This is really disheartening.
Speaker Bridgid Annisette- George must keep a stern eye on Fitzgerald Hinds and Roodal Moonilal.
Colm Imbert cannot be left out, nor Maxie Cuffie and Darryl Smith.
They must do better.
My hope also is that Annisette- George cracks her whip more often, if members like the slave master attitude and continue to disrespect the place.
She had to stand up too often to speak to members in the last Parliament.
Enough of this crap in the Parliament.
We just cannot go on this way.
