Queen’s Park to stage Women’s Charity Football event

In the inaugural event, on October 11, the Score 4 Cancer event raised a total of $33,000, of which $5,000 was donated to the Cancer Society and the remaining $28,000 was donated to the St James Cancer Clinic for Women. According to a media release, “the money went towards buying a water cooler, bookcases, plants, paintings, getting new curtains in the wards, and refurbishing four couches.” For this year’s event, the registration process will start at 10.30 am (on October 1) and there will be lots of prizes to be won on the day.
