Byron displays ‘Reflections 2’
The exhibition opened last Thursday and continues until October 1.
Byron’s medium has primarily been water colours, some oil and of late acrylics.
Invariably, his subject matter has revolved around landscapes, seascapes and marine life.
He highlights and documents nature’s beauty, but injects judicious doses of activism and protest, said a media release.
On the one hand he says: “Nature has always been my joy and I always try to capture movement in my painting.” On the other: “I am always canvassing, through my art, for increased awareness of the need to conserve and restore Nature, in my fellow man.” He paints, he says, “…with heart and soul, with deep love and respect for what once was, what still is, and what always glowingly ought to be.” Reflections 2 is under the patronage of the President of the Caribbean Court of Justice, Sir Dennis Byron.
The exhibition opens tomorrow also opening hours are 10 am to 5 pm. Paintings will be on sale.
