Estranged wife of former Government Minister reports break-in
The young woman who separated from the former government Minister following an altercation at their marital home reported to police that she lefy home at about 6 am on Thursday and returned at about 12.45 in the afternoon when she discovered a window to the western side of the house, pried open and the house ransacked.
The woman said she made a check and discovered that none of her valuables were stolen but, when she carried out a check on her computer she discovered that an attempt was made to retrieve information from the computer. She could not ascertain if the intruder was able to copy the information from her computer but believed that the illegal entry into her home was an attempt to secure information from her computer.
Officers of the Four Roads Police Station along with Finger print experts went to the house but no workable prints were found.
The victim is now contemplating installing cameras at the house and has expressed fear for her safety.
As a result of the incident police have stepped up patrols in that particular area.
