Lawrence makes it five in a row in Caracas

Lawrence, much taller and fitter than his opponent, made light work of Franko by knocking him out in the first round.

The knockout came in approximately two minutes of the first round when Franko dropped his left hand and left his head open where he collected a perfect overhead right from Lawrence sending him to the canvas for the full count of ten.

It was Franko’s third straight defeeat in his short career in which he has been knocked out in the first round each time.

Currently training under Felix “Wamba” Voisin and assistant coach Chris Hospedales, Lawrence was scheduled to fight Jose Cervantes, but the Colombian withdrew after being advised by his dentist following a problem with his teeth.

Lawrence is confident that he can extend his unbeaten record to ten fights which will earn him qualification for the prestigious WBC Youth Pro League.
